    Dear Parents,

It has been a short but very busy week.  It was wonderful to see the children arrive on Tuesday to see our fantastic playground markings.  The children are enjoying them and the Keystage one playhouses are very popular.  Thank you to FOFSA and especially to Jo Dickson for organising.    Mr Cundy made a special visit as our Easter Rabbit which was great fun.

The children have been sad to lose our guinea pig, Nibbles over the holiday but so excited to meet Bingo's new friend, Caramel.  Caramel is rather lively so it could be fun looking after him.  I would like to thanks all parents for your support especially Caroline Winchcombe who has been amazing.  Reverend Julie said a lovely prayer for Nibbles at church on Thursday.

It was wonderful to be back in church this week for our Easter service; the readers read so well and it was great to hear the choir sing 'What a wonderful world'.  As we walked back to church the Bluebells looked beautiful.

I have spent a lot of time this week showing prospective parents around.  Today Harry in Rosefinch joined me and led a tour; he was so polite, gentle and kind and very proud of our school, well done Harry.

This is always a busy term with many assessments coming up. It is important that the children work hard and remain calm and we will support them as much as we can.

I wish you all a fantastic weekend.

    Kind regards

    Dear Parents,

Thank you to those of you who joined us for our end of term assembly and for tea and cake afterwards.  We are very sad to be saying goodbye to Mrs Weston; she has been at the school for 20 years and has worked incredibly hard for us.  I cannot thank her enough for her dedication and commitment and I will miss her terribly.  It was wonderful to have her daughter and grandchildren with us for the assembly; she is going to have so much with them!!

I look forward to welcoming new staff after Easter.  Mrs Anders will be working as an LSA in Chaffinch two days a week, Miss Bardsley will be joining the lunch team and Mrs Lawrence will be our new School Business Manager.  I feel so fortunate to work with such talented, dedicated staff and I am sure you will join me in wishing them a restful and enjoyable Easter.  I also would like to thank Mrs Hayes, Ms Jones and Mrs Dickson for all the extra support and time they have given to the school this term; it makes such a difference to us.

Thank you to FOFSA for organising the Guess the number of sweets in the jar and thank you for supporting.  The lucky winner of the jar is Lucy Douglas wtih a guess of 175; the actual number was 174.   Meg and Safiya have worked incredibly hard this term to produce a school magazine, The Scribbler; well done girls, what a sell out success.  Thank you Penny Arlon for supporting the girls in putting it together.

The children are all excited about Easter and we have enjoyed singing our Easter songs;  I look forward to seeing them all on Tuesday  23rd April.   There will be some work going on at school over the holiday period which we will share with you and the children once we are back.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

    Happy Easter
