    Dear Parents,

Regarding the snow, we will make a decision in the morning and I will post on the website and on Facebook if we are closed.  We have had a great day today. I hope you enjoy the photos.

    Dear Parents,

The change in the weather in the last few days has been dramatic and it is set to continue into next week. Today is a very cold day for our Keystage One trip and a football tournament but this did not put a dampener on the children's excitement.

I would like to thank the Keystage One team for organising and leading the trip to Henley River and Rowing Museum. I have been in touch throughout the day and they have had a great time. The boys at the Madejski tournament lost 3 matches, drew 3 and won 5. They came 2nd in our group and 6th overall which is brilliant. There were19 teams taking part! I have promised a mention for Mason; he played relentlessly with great energy and commitment in all 11 matches. Carlos was delighted to have scored a hat-trick and all 8 boys played really well, thank you Mr O'Reilly.

My thanks continue onto Mr Cundy. For many years the school has enjoyed the benefit of a bird box camera and the children become fixated on the television as nests are build and used. Last year we experienced problems with the camera and after many attempts from Mr Cundy and a friend to repair it, Mr Cundy has bought and fitted the school a new one. This is such a kind and generous gesture and one that means so much to the children and staff. Thank you Mr Cundy; we are already watching and waiting!

Reverend Julie took our Lent church service on Tuesday; thank you to those parents who were able to join us. I will include photos of some of the children with the ash cross on their foreheads. Yesterday, many staff joined the Arlon family and their friends for a memorial service for Jamie. It was a beautiful service to celebrate his life.

The school diary is incredibly busy at the moment; please keep a close eye on the calendar as to what is happening when. We have added an Easter singing assembly for the parents and children to enjoy together on the last Wednesday of term; we hope you can join us. I am also looking forward to seeing many of you next week at the Learning Reviews.

    Wishing you a great weekend

    Dear Parents,

This half term has been incredibly busy and has flown by. I would like to thank the children and staff for their hard work and thank you for your support. I hope the half term break gives everyone a chance to rest and recuperate ready to return after the holiday with energy and vigour.

The children participating in WASMA had their first rehearsal this week at All Saints School. It is great to see the children practising their parts on the playground. Thank you Mrs Gan and Mrs Coulson for your time and commitment towards making this happen; we are really looking forward to seeing the children perform at the Hexagon in March.

On Wednesday we were fortunate to have Joanne Myall from Lloyds Bank in school for an assembly on e-safety. The assembly was for children in years 2-6 and was a great way to capture the key messages to keep our children safe online. This has also been followed up in classes throughout the week. Thank you, Joanne.

After half term there will be a music assembly; if your child wishes to be part of it, please see Mrs Gan during the first week back.

Today the children have said goodbye to Amelia and James; we hope that they will be very happy in their new school. Arthur, George and Annabelle will also be starting at a new school after half term, again we wish for them to be very happy.

For your information the park opposite school will be closed for 1 week from the 26th February for fence maintenance and tree surgery.

Wishing you a very wonderful half term break

    Dear Parents,

Our week started with a visit from Storyteller, Bob Hartman. The day was full of fun, smiles, laughter and learning. It was great to have so many parents in school to see Bob and to see the joy that can be created through simple storytelling. Today we thanked Mr and Mrs Fox for organising and providing this wonderful experience for our children.

On Wednesday we were joined by our School Improvement Officer, Jim Mathieson. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him, reviewing our curriculum. Mr Mathieson complemented the staff on how 'we have our arms around the whole school' and also how engaging our teaching and learning is.

The FOFSA committee are working hard to support our school. Information regarding a disco has gone out this week. Thank you to so many of you for donating money towards the new tables and chairs for the junior classes; it will make an enormous difference to the learning environment. If you still wish to donate it is never too late!!

FOFSA are also organising a sponsored walk from Windsor Castle to School on Saturday 21st April; if you are interested in joining us, please save the date and get training!! There will be more information to follow.

Last term I asked for the children to not run around the front carpark; please remind your children of this. It is a small area and I do not want anyone getting hurt or any staff cars being scratched.

I have been incredibly touched by the cards, flowers, gifts and messages of congratulations I have received since last Thursday. Thank you so much for your support.

    Kind regards

    Jacquie Vanstone
