Dear parents & guardians,

 

I hope you are well.  We have had another busy week with some fantastic learning and time to think about mental health awareness.  I have tried to focus on positive messages for the children which is so important for us all.  

 

On Tuesday evening I posted a video for all our parents and I would like to thank you for your supportive and kind feedback.  Following on from this Mrs Dodds and I would like to invite you to a parent meet at 8pm on Wednesday evening (10th February), via Microsoft Teams.  This will give us an opportunity for us to support parents but also for parents to be able to support each other.   If you wish to join please email me head@finchampstead.wokingham.sch.uk. Please be aware that by adding you to the meeting, your email address will be seen by others attending.  The meet will finish at 8.45pm.  We look forward to sharing a coffee with you, albeit remotely!

 

Last Saturday I emailed regarding positive Covid-19 tests.  I am pleased to say that the staff members are well but it has been a reminder that this can affect us all so differently.  Today I have been informed that one of our parents has tested positive.  I know you will join me in wishing the family well.  

 

My video to you was a thank you and a well done and I would like, at this point, to thank our staff.  They are doing a fantastic job under very difficult circumstances and with the anxiety of Covid to contend with.   My morning video today, at the end of mental health awareness week included these quotes which I apply to us all;

'Do what makes you happy.'
