Dear Parents and Guardians,
I cannot believe we only have a week in school before the end of term. It has been such a challenging term in regards to Covid but seeing the children learning and playing 'normally' makes it all worthwhile.
Last week we had our Advocacy week which was a huge success. We celebrated the learning with parents on Friday and then together as a school in our Achievement assembly on Wednesday. The children spoke about their learning with confidence, determination, drive and commitment. Their vocabulary certainly developed over the week and children throughout the school shared their opinions with passion.
The same level of confidence was seen in the Christmas plays on Thursday. It was such a treat to see the children perform to an audience; they had so much fun and their enjoyment shone through. I was impressed by how well each class performed and I was delighted to see them having their moment on the stage. This experience is important for their development and we felt very proud of them all. The videos are on Googleclassrooms and Mrs Wirth is sorting out login details for those who have not got them, thank you Mrs Wirth.
Today the children enjoyed their Christmas lunch; even though the seating was arranged differently and every door and window was open, there was still a great Christmas atmosphere. All these things form precious memories for the children and I certainly feel grateful that we are able to have them.
As I said at the beginning, Covid is a challenge for every school. We are working so hard to stay open and safe and provide the experiences and learning that we value so much. I would like to thank you for your continual support as this is so important in order for us to keep as safe as we can. Please take great care over the weekend and please be in touch if you have any information that I should have ahead of Monday. email@example.com
With kind regards
