Good evening,

I hope you have had a good week. With just 4 school days, it has flown by.  We have finished this week with a lovely whole school VE day celebration, thank you Mrs Gan for organising it.  This was followed by the Rosefinch Multisports club which looked like great fun.  Thank you to our Reception parents and Mr O'Reilly.  It is so valuable to join together, especially on our sunny playground.

Fofsa made our second hand uniform available this evening along with cookies which I know was well received.

I wanted to remind parents of the uniform policy.  If children are wearing grey shorts, they should also be wearing grey socks. If children are in the Summer dresses, they should be wearing white socks.  Please ensure these are plain with no logos.  Please can the children wear white or grey socks with their PE kit.  We have seen that most children are wearing the correct uniform all the time.  If children are not in the correct uniform, we will be phoning parents asking for the correct uniform items to be dropped in. We have high expectations and wish the children to as well.  Thank you for your support.

Next week, our Year 6 children will be taking their SATs.  They have all worked hard and we are proud of them.  SATs week is usually a week they enjoy once it come around so I wish them a relaxed weekend.  It is an opportunity to go over aspects they are worried about but the most important thing is that they enjoy their weekend and come in with determination and pride to show their best.  The Goldfinch team do a wonderful job of keeping everyone calm and relaxed.

Many of you may be aware that Manor Farm sell strawberries.  Mrs Fox (one of our govenors) sells the punnets with some of the money going towards the church.  I have set up a link so if you wish to order strawberries you can. Mrs Fox will bring the number of punnets ordered on a Friday at the end of the day and take a cash payment of £3 per punnet. Please note the details on the form regarding ordering days etc.  https://forms.office.com/e/SEnpGruJyc?origin=lprLink Thank you Mrs Fox for such wonderful service!

I also include the form for the Wellington College homework/reading club which will run again on Wednesday.  The children and students really enjoyed it this week and the time was well spent.  If you wish your child to attend next week please sign up.

On Monday I will share an email regarding our surveys and also further information regarding clubs so please look out for that.

I wish you a lovely weekend and look forward to another busy week next week.

With kind regards

Jacquie Vanstone
