Good afternoon,

 

We have had a wonderful two days back.  The children have settled into routines quickly and it has been great to see the children enjoying both their learning and play.  Our Reception children have settled incredibly well and it has been a pleasure to start to get to know them.  They have enjoyed their newly decorated classroom which looks wonderful.

 

I hope you all received our Ofsted report from our inspection in July.  If you have not had my email, please be in touch and I can send it to you and check our email list.

 

Today, we have sent home a water bottle with our Year 1-6 children, we hope they like them and enjoy using them.  The Reception parents will be given one on Monday morning at drop off.

Mrs Baker has worked so incredibly hard to deal with the many uniform orders and deliveries.  It has been a huge task and we are grateful for your patience.

Whilst I mention uniform, please can I remind you that children should not be wearing jewellery other than possibly stud earrings and there should be no nail vanish worn.

I thought it would help to remind you of the PE days which are as follows:

Rosefinch: Tuesday and Thursday

Bullfinch: Tuesday and Thursday

Chaffinch: Monday and Wednesday

Goldfinch: Wednesday and Friday

 

We look forward to seeing many of you in school next week to meet teachers.  Year 6 parents also have their PGL meeting. 

You are all invited to join our FOFSA AGM on Thursday 11th September at 6.30pm.  We would love to have as much support as possible.  Our FOFSA committee as well as FOFSA lite, work incredibly hard for our school and the more involved, the easier it can be.  Please join us in school for that meeting.

 

I wanted to remind parents not to block any driveways when parking near school.  We have had a neighbour unable to exit their driveway today.  Please be very considerate when parking, even if it is just for a few minutes.

 

I wish you all a restful weekend.  Thank you for your support at the beginning of an exciting year ahead, I have received a lot of lovely emails over the past two days and they mean a great deal to us.
