    Happy New Year!

It has been wonderful to welcome back the children this week.  I hope you enjoyed a lovely Christmas. It was a treat to come back to snow on our first day, which the children loved.  We are pleased to see the children well rested and ready for a super term.

In our assemblies this week, we focused on our readiness to learn and the respect we have for one another.  This week, I have joined many great lessons across the school and I can see the children are responding well to our high expectations.  We are grateful for your support to ensure your child has all they need for school.  I thought a reminder of PE days might be helpful. I also wanted to reinforce the importance of children, ideally wearing no earrings on PE days or if they are wearing earrings in school, that they are small studs.  This is important for their safety.

    Rosefinch and Bullfinch: Tuesday, Thursday

    Chaffinch: Monday and Wednesday

    Goldfinch: Wednesday and Friday

On Wednesday morning at 9am, I would like to invite parents into school who would like to take the opportunity to discuss our uniform policy and to look at the results of the parent consultation.  Please email me ahead of Wednesday if you are keen to join us.  Thank you for your support.

It was a pleasure to lead another Reception 2026 parent tour this morning.  The deadline for applying for places is the 15th January.  If you know of friends and/or family who would like to have a tour ahead of the deadline, there is still time and we would love to welcome them.

I wanted to share my huge thanks to one of our Year 5 parents, Sapna.  Sapna has worked hard to create some wonderful new signs for our school which will hopefully go up this weekend.  She has designed them all and we have been so fortunate to benefit from her graphic design skills.  Thank you Sapna.

Thank you for your support and I look forward to another great term.

    With kind regards
