Good afternoon,
It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of January. We have had such a busy week full of great learning and enrichment.
I want to begin by congratulating our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 gymnasts who represented the school on Monday at Pinewood gym. It was a great opportunity to enjoy the facilities and perform alongside other schools.
Just two days later, we had the fantastic G-Live trip for Key Stage 2. We were delighted to provide the opportunity for them to see a live orchestra and the children came back full of excitement.
We are now finishing the week with a football match. The boys worked hard in the rain and cold. They were disappointed to lose 2-0 but proud to represent the school. Thank you Mr O'Reilly and to parents for their help.
Amongst all of this excitement, Mrs Wirth and I had the opportunity to meet with our School Improvement Officer. It was a great opportunity to share the impact of our work as well as our plans for development going forwards. This week, I have had many emails of thanks from parents. These emails mean a great deal to the staff and I. I hope the staff are very proud of what is achieved each and every week.
I have been contacted this week by a member of Finchampstead Parish Council regarding the lack of a crossing outside of school. There is currently no designated crossing point between the school and Finchampstead Memorial Park / Village Playground, despite this route being used daily by pupils and families.
A local group is exploring whether there is community support for improving safety at this location. The survey here is intended to gather views only and does not represent a decision or commitment. Please find a link to a Microsoft form which should only take a moment to complete with one question plus your name. I will pass this information to the Parish Council.

I finish with the exciting news of next week's disco! Thank you to FOFSA for organising it, so many children are looking forward to it and the staff, of course!
I wish you a lovely weekend
With kind regards
