Good afternoon
What a lovely week of fun, learning and sunshine. It has been fantastic to benefit from the new outside area and I can see such a change in the way the children are playing in it. We are delighted that the work on the windows in School House has begun today and will continue and be completed next week.
Next week Chaffinch will begin their weekly swimming lessons. It is always good to see them working hard, challenging themselves and progressing in such a different area of the curriculum.
The summer term is always busy, especially right at the end of the year. I am adding here a link to the calendar which should provide all the dates needed. If you have any questions, please ask. The summer term is also the time of year for many external statutory assessments. The Year 1's will complete a phonics screening and there is a parent session on the calendar which we hope many parents can attend. The Year 4 children will have a multiplication check in June and our Year 6 children will have their SATs tests. If you have any questions about these assessments, we are happy to help. We do find the children enjoy these assessments, and we are proud of our organisation, support and provision. It does, however, make a difference to have support from home, so reading, timetables, home learning etc. all make a big difference in enabling your child to be confident. Thank you for your support.
I thought it would also be helpful to share the link to the information regarding clubs. We offer a wonderful range of clubs which the children enjoy. Please have a look and if, as a parent, you feel you can offer a club, we would be delighted to introduce something new or additional, such as cooking, baking, cake decorating, a language, gardening etc.

Next week I look forward to many school tours. We only have spaces in Year 3 and 5 but it is a pleasure to show people around our school.
I wish you all a lovely weekend and another week of hard work and progress next week.
With kind regards
